STRIKE!

        We have our first outing of the new school year planned!  Next Saturday, September 17, our class will be going cosmic bowling.  We are heading over to the west side of town to bowl at the Potter's House.  We are leaving the church at 6:30 p.m. (don't be late-we don't want to leave you behind).  We are planning to bowl two games.  The cost will be $8 per person.  This will cover the cost of the games and the shoes.  Please plan to eat dinner before you come as we will not be eating at the bowling alley.  It is sure to be lots of fun!!!
        Permission slips went home tonight.  We are asking that everyone invites (at least) one friend to join us.  If you were not able to make it tonight, misplaced your permission slip, or need another slip for another friend please be sure to see us to get any additional copies that you may need.  Please be mindful that a signed permission slip must be on file or you will not be able to go.  We cannot accept a hand written note or a telephone call.  It must be a signed permission slip. 
        We hope that you are able to go bowling with us and that you can bring a friend! 

Spiritual Emphasis Week

        This week at University Christian School will be spiritual emphasis week.  Even though many of us do not attend UC that does not mean that we can't also participate in getting our hearts and minds centered on God and what He would have us to do in our lives.  It is our prayer that we would be able to stop and just listen for what God is calling us to do.  Please feel free to post any and all comments pertaining to this subject.  We would LOVE to hear about how God is moving in your lives!  Have a great week-see you Wednesday!!!

Ok - question for you

If you could change something in our class what would it be?  ANYTHING!?!?!?!  Go ahead, even if you say the lessons - or Mr. Bill is boring....anything - it won't hurt our feelings - we really want to hear from you!

Let me say (Mr. Bill), that I really enjoy our class and love you guys/gals!  Hope you all are having a great day at school!  Remember Jesus loves you!  No matter what.

Be an Example

        Remember today's verse, "Don't let anyone look down on you because you are young, but set an example for the believers in speech, in life, in love, in faith and in purity." -1 Timothy 4:12 (NIV).  Just because you are young does not mean that you can't do big and/or great things for God!  We hope you have a great week and hope to see you on Wednesday night :-)
       

Sunday, Sunday, Sunday

        Tomorrow is Sunday and Bible Drills are back!!!  Are you ready?  How fast are your fingers?  We will see tomorrow!

See ya later alligator

        Today was promotion Sunday and the day was a little bittersweet.  We feel very fortunate to have had the opportunity to teach the great group of kiddos that made up last year's Uphold 56 class.  To be honest, it was hard to say goodbye to the out-going seventh graders.  (So we decided to say "see ya later alligator instead.)  We hope that you enjoy your next adventure- MIDDLE SCHOOL!!!!  Don't forget, if you ever need anything or just want to talk you can always come and talk to either Mr. Bill or me.
       On a happier note we were excited to meet the new group of kids that came up to help establish our new Uphold 56 class.  We hope that our new class will come together and bond in friendship, service, and God's Word.  We are looking forward to a great year!!!
